So, I guess I need help finding the correct monitor driver and how to install the driver, that windows 10 pro will recognize. Not the advertise 144Hz or the 160Hz overclocked. The reason why I am doing this change of monitor driver is because the refresh rate is only 60Hz. I have not been able to locate a monitor driver on LG website. That said, it might be worth it if you want to game in HDR because it has a wider color gamut and gets a lot brighter. However, its much more expensive than the LG 34GN850-B without providing a significantly better gaming experience. I believe this is a driver that microsoft installed. The LG UltraGear 38GN950-B is a great gaming monitor. I currently, have a "Generic PnP Monitor" in installed with a date.
I was hoping you could help, because LG technical support would not give me any useful assistance for this desktop monitor. The UltraGear Remote Control can turn the monitor on or off, adjust sound, change modes and alter settings.
I have installed two pieces of LG applications on the desktop, one is for settings called "LG OnScreen Control" and another named "LG UltraGear Control Center". My problem is I am having a very difficult time trying to change the monitor driver in the Device manager. I have purchased a LG 38GN950-B 38" ULTRAGEAR Curved WQHD+ Nano IPS 1ms 144 Hz HDR-600 monitor with G-SYNC Compatibility. 3840x1600 resolution.
